Check out NBC's tribute to the Pontiac, the General Motors muscle brand, famous for its wide track, split grilles and stack headlines. NBC asked The New York Times' James Cobb to file an obituary for the discontinued babyboomer favorite in an In Their Own Words feature. Cobb called Pontiac "sporty, powerful, aggressive and very stylish" in its prime. By the end "you essentially saw the same cars you would see at the Chevy dealership."
