It's been a few years since I've commented on your website, but tonight's (Jan. 16,2012) NBC NIghtly News deserves my condemnation.
From what I remember you are a fan of Brian Williams. I'm still wondering how he left WCBS-Tv as a local reporter in Feb. 1993 and was already ordained as Tom Brokaw's eventual successor.He's a phony as far as I am concerned, but I watch him and Scott Pelley each night.
NBC ranks dead last in the prime time ratings but ranks #1 in self promotion by far compared to the other networks. Tonight Williams did a report in 'Silent Picture' style just to mention the previous nights Golden Globes show and it's 17 million viewership on NBC,similiar to last year when he did a phony news report just to include the fact that the ratings for NBC Sunday Night football were high.
In Cronkite days I don't think he would have allowed a cheap plug for the entertainment programs to enter his braodcast.
