COMMENTS: Libby Dodges Club Fed
The bungled carbombs in Britain--the pair that did not explode in London and the one that failed to damage an airport terminal in Glasgow--were all set to dominate the network newscasts when late breaking news from President George Bush changed each network's lead. Former White ABC and NBC assigned their White House correspondents to cover the announcement; CBS chose the Justice Department beat. Yet the arrest of eight suspects in the London-Glasgow plot was still the Story of the Day.
I am still catching up from last week's vacation, so there will be no more blogging on today's news.
