He covered the Japanese-owned, India-based, Ranbaxy Laboratories, which is licensed by the Food & Drug Administration to produce generic Lipitor. Miller found Dinesh Thakur, a whistleblower, who stands to make $49m for exposing fraud in efficacy and safety testing in 15 of Ranbaxy's FDA applications to produce generic drugs.
