COMMENTS: Lebanon and Jordan
NBC's in-house physician Nancy Snyderman followed up on last Wednesday's report by her colleague Richard Engel on the polio outbreak in the rebel-occupied Dier ez-Zur region of Syria, near the River Euphrates. Dr Nancy checked out Unicef clinics at border crossings in Lebanon and Jordan, where refugee children are given polio vaccine before being granted entry.
